The Fake S24 Ultra - Spot The Difference
Every year, counterfeit versions of flagship smartphones hit the market, and 2024 is no exception with the fake Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. This time, the counterfeit is particularly convincing. Here’s how to spot the differences.
The Packaging
At first glance, the box looks remarkably similar to the real deal, but a closer look reveals duller colors. A key giveaway is the included USB A to USB C charger. The genuine S24 Ultra should come with a USB C to USB C cable.
Physical Appearance
The fake S24 Ultra looks quite authentic, though it has a noticeably larger chin at the bottom of the display. The cameras are an impressive improvement over previous fakes, closely mimicking the real S24 Ultra's setup. However, despite their appearance, the camera quality is significantly inferior.
Software and Performance
The phone is running a spoofed version of Samsung’s One UI on Android 7, lacking any of the new AI features found in the authentic S24 Ultra. The device is powered by a low-end MediaTek 6580 processor and a Mali 400 MP GPU, resulting in laggy performance.
IMEI and Serial Numbers
Be cautious: the IMEI and serial numbers on these fakes can be spoofed, making it harder to identify them as counterfeits through conventional methods.
